A warm welcome from the Head Teacher
A very warm welcome to St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School. I am extremely proud to be the Headteacher of this loving school that puts the children at the heart of everything we do.
We consider ourselves to be a family where children can grow physically, spiritually, academically, socially and emotionally in a safe environment surrounded by love and encouragement. We are concerned with the development of the whole child and their relationship with society and the world in which they live. We nurture our pupils so that they become caring and compassionate citizens who understand their responsibility and are ready to make a positive contribution to the wider community.
Our school is a ‘happy and caring community where pupils enjoy playing with each other in the well-resourced grounds’ (Ofsted 2022).
We work in close partnership with home and the parish; we aim to involve our families and wider community wherever possible. Our strength lies in working together as a community towards a shared goal with Christ at the centre and the children at the heart of all we do.
At St. Joseph’s, our faith underpins all that we do. We celebrate each individual; we want every child in our school to feel valued. Our staff provide excellent opportunities for our children to develop their unique gifts and talents. We want children to leave our school safe in the knowledge that they are loved by God.
We are an inclusive school where the needs of each individual child are recognised and well supported. Our aspirational approach encourages all children to believe in themselves. Our school is a place to explore, ask questions, take risks, make mistakes and learn from them.
All are welcome in our wonderful school. Please contact the school office so we can arrange for you to come and look around.
