Pupils from St Joseph's Catholic Primary School in Newton Aycliffe enjoyed an exciting journey into local history and storytelling during a recent visit to the Seven Stories Pop Up in Durham. On Friday 18 September, Year 3 and Year 4 pupils took part in a fascinating Lambton Worm workshop, where they explored one of the North East's most famous legends. The visit provided children with the opportunity to learn about the traditional tale through a range of interactive activities designed to bring the story to life.

Pupils at St Joseph's Catholic Primary School in Newton Aycliffe enjoyed a memorable Roald Dahl Day celebration, with a special assembly led by the school's Reading Ambassadors. During the assembly, children listened to a short extract from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, one of Roald Dahl's most popular stories.
