St Joseph's Catholic Primary School is preparing to welcome pupils back on Wednesday 2nd September with a week of magical themed activities designed to inspire excitement, friendship and a love of learning from the very first day of term.
Ahead of the new academic year, the school has been building anticipation for its St Joseph's Express theme, which will see pupils enjoy a range of magical experiences and special activities as they begin a new year of learning and discovery.
Throughout the week, children will be encouraged to embrace the school's core values of Self-Belief, Resilience and Compassion, helping them settle into their new classes with confidence and enthusiasm.
A magical theme will run throughout the celebrations, including the arrival of the school's very own Sorting Hat, which will play a special role in welcoming pupils back and marking the beginning of another exciting year at St Joseph's.
Headteacher Kirsty Evans said:
"We are looking forward to welcoming all of our pupils back for what promises to be a fantastic start to the new school year. Our magical themed week is designed to create excitement, inspire imagination and help children feel ready for the opportunities and experiences that lie ahead.
"Every day at school matters, and we want our children to be here from the very start so they can make the most of every learning opportunity, build positive routines and enjoy all the experiences we have planned. We know that strong attendance plays a vital role in helping children achieve their full potential.

As part of the celebrations, pupils will be invited to think about the qualities they want to bring with them into the new school year, with Self-Belief, Resilience and Compassion taking centre stage.
The magical week will culminate in a special Back to St Joseph's Celebration Day, including a spectacular magic show packed with surprises and wonder.
The initiative reflects the school's commitment to creating engaging experiences that capture children's imaginations while fostering a positive attitude towards learning and school life.
With excitement building ahead of the new term, staff are looking forward to welcoming pupils back for a week filled with magic, discovery and fun, setting the tone for another successful year at St Joseph's.
