Welcome to St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Newton Aycliffe

At St. Joseph’s in Newton Aycliffe, we provide a vibrant and dynamic learning environment where children are encouraged to explore, discover, and thrive. Our nursery welcomes children from the age of 2, offering a nurturing start to their educational journey and ensuring a smooth transition into school life.

In 2025, our school achieved SATs results well above the national average, reflecting our commitment to academic excellence and high standards of teaching.

Our exciting Forest School programme and pupil-led groups bring learning to life through hands-on experiences. We place a strong focus on environmental responsibility, and through our Eco School programme, pupils learn the importance of caring for the world around them. With excellent facilities, large outdoor spaces, and a wide range of trips, residentials, and extracurricular activities, children are inspired to grow in confidence and creativity.

By choosing St. Joseph’s, your child will benefit from exceptional opportunities inside and outside the classroom, helping them become confident, compassionate, and responsible learners.
