At St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Newton Aycliffe, kindness is at the heart of everything we do — and today, our school community came together to celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Day in a very special way.
A Whole‑School Assembly Led by Our Wellbeing Leaders
This morning, our fantastic Wellbeing Leaders took centre stage as they led a whole‑school assembly dedicated to the power of kindness.
They shared inspiring ideas about simple random acts of kindness we can all do:
- At home — helping others without being asked, offering compliments, or tidying up to make someone’s day easier.
- At school — including others in games, offering a helping hand, or showing gratitude to staff and classmates.
- In the community — smiling at neighbours, picking up litter, or supporting local charities.
Their message was clear: small acts of kindness can create big waves of positivity.
Every Child Joins the Kids’ Kindness Club
We are delighted to announce some exciting news — every child at St. Joseph’s is now an official member of the Kids’ Kindness Club!
The Kids’ Kindness Club, created by the School of Kindness, celebrates children who show kindness to:
- themselves
- others
- and the planet
You can read more about the club here: https://schoolofkindness.org/kids-club
To mark this wonderful achievement, each child received a special sticker or badge today. Their faces were glowing with pride — and so were ours!
Growing a Culture of Kindness
Joining the Kids’ Kindness Club isn’t just a one‑day celebration; it reflects our ongoing commitment to nurturing empathy, compassion and community spirit across the school. We are incredibly proud of our children for the kindness they show every day — both in the classroom and beyond.
Well Done, Everyone!
A huge well done to all our pupils, especially our Wellbeing Leaders, for helping make Random Acts of Kindness Day such a meaningful and joyful celebration. Let’s continue spreading kindness wherever we go!
